SENATE ADJOURNS EMERGENCY PLENARY ON STATE POLICE OVER REP’S DEATH. The Senate today suspended consideration of the highly anticipated State Police Bill and all other legislative business at its emergency plenary session to honour the memory of Hon. Yaya Tongo, a member of the House of Representatives, whose death cast a sombre mood over the National Assembly. The upper chamber had reconvened from recess amid expectations that lawmakers would accelerate action on the proposed constitutional amendment seeking to establish state police across the federation, a measure widely seen as a major step in the ongoing effort to reform Nigeria’s security architecture. However, proceedings were cut short after Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced the death of Tongo, who represented the Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency of Gombe State in the House of Representatives. AN INJUSTICE,DONE TO WINNIE MANDELA.

Today December 5th,marks exactly one year Nelson Mandela,South African freedom fighter president past away, but he was buried December 15th.I am still in shocked from the information i gathered early these year that he left Winnie his wife of 38 years nothing. They got married in June 14,1958 and their marriage ended March 19,1996.His new wife Graca Machel, whom he met after the whole struggle was given a chunk of his estate.I don't like to speak ill of the dead but i would have wished that Mandela would have forgiven her for what ever she might have committed from the grave,by including her to his will.If Nelson can forgive all those that jailed and kill people of his race, then he would have done the same for Winnie.Nelson Mandela bequeathed more than 2.5m pounds to his family, the school that educated him,the staff who served him and his political party ANC,but nothing to Winnie. The 40 page will was written in 2004 and was updated last in 2008.is enough time to include Winnie. That film ''The Long Walk to Freeman'',really explained the sufferings and struggles of Winnie Mandela, though she was accused of some crimes, but i am still sick to my stomach that nothing was left for Winnie.I will encourage South Africans to read my article and compensate Winnie, because if not for her,the struggle would have died, and Mandela would also rot in jail. This is an injustice done to a woman still alive, and can still be corrected.More photos below.
