LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis. The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres. According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion. Today tuesday December the 16,2014,Copyright Society of Nigerian,popularly known as Coson,distributed royalties to over 2000 musician round Nigeria.The annual Extral Ordinary General meeting was held at the Lagos Airport Hotel Ikeja,and old and upcoming musicians like Majek Fashek,Pa Ajilo,Kenny Saint Brown etc,attended the meeting.Though music artist was expecting more than the usual they collect because of all the billionaire suite Coson has won because most of the organizations prefer to settle out of court.Tony Okoroji,the head of Coson,explained that why the money is not as much as music artist expected these year is because,more musicians registered under Coson and that caused the money not to be as much as we musicians expected.More photos below.
