Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court.                    According to sources,the National Arts Theatre in Iganmu Lagos state,has been sold secretly by the Minister of Culture and Tourism,Edem Duke,ho traveled to the United Arab  Emirates,where he traded off the theater to Mulk Holding,a company based in the UAE.The deal was signed and sealed these month of December 2014 for $40 million.According to the CEO of  National Theater Kabir Yaradua who said that ''The interior of the National Theatre will be redesigned and renovated into a modern duty free and retail shopping mall.The project will convert approximately 30,000m2 of the existing space in two 15,000m2 phases''.I condemn the sale because they would have done all the renovations without the help of any external help.What is the difference between the people that stole almost all our art works before independence and the sale of the National Art Theatre?.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
