 LAGOS RE-INTRODUCES MONTHLY ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION EXERCISE …Governor, Deputy lead State officials to clean up Mushin corridor Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday, announced the re-introduction of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation in the State. The Governor said the exercise will hold every last Saturday of the Month between the hours of 6:30am and 8:30am but without movement restrictions. He stressed that the exercise would be monitored by State officials with appropriate sanctions to be meted out to erring neighbourhoods and markets. Sanwo-Olu made the pronouncement during a ceremony held in Olosa Bus Stop in Mushin which marked the symbolic flag-off of the monthly sanitation. The Governor, who led his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and member of the State cabinet on the mission, said the culture of environmental responsibility must be imbibed by the residents across all communities in the state and reflect same in their lifestyle. 36 PEOPLE DEAD AS TWO CULT GROUP,CLASHED IN BENIN CITY.

          According to sources,members of wo rival cult groups Eiye {Bird} and Aiye {Black Axe} confraternity,have been at war for several weeks in the in Benin city,resulting in the death of many them.The mortuary department of the Benin city specialist hospital,confirmed that 36 bodies were deposited there between 1st to 30th December 2014 following the clashes.The lingering cult clashes had worsened to the extent that four more people were killed at different locations in Benin city.A mortuary attendant who who spoke behind cameras to reporters said ''I am surprised that the police are saying only six deaths have been recorded.We are tired because as at the last count,it was 36.The last one that was brought to this morgue was so bad that his skull was opened into two parts.I could not eat when i got home''.
