  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us. GAMBIA'S PRESIDENT,RESHUFFLES HIS CABINET AFTER COUP ATTEMPT.

               Yesterday monday,Gambia's president Yahya Jammeh,made some changes in his cabinet after a coup attempt.He reshuffled three major positions in his government.He reshuffled the ministry of foreign affairs,the ministry of information and the ministry of transport.He replaced every of the above mentioned ministry their ministers,and replaced them with fresh and ex serving ministers from other ministries.Prosecutors in the United States yesterday monday,charged a Texas business man with bankrolling and trying to lead the coup with the support of a former U.S Army Sergent.President Jammeh who came to power in a 1994 coup,has accused foreign based dissidents of being behind the coup bid.Though Jemmeh was out of the country when gunmen attacked the capital Banjul,late 2014 December.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
