NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. 52 year old Doctor Rick Sacra,who is a medical missionary with the christian organization SIM,plans to return back to Liberia where he contracted the deadly Ebola virus few months ago,to continue working in the same hospital.Doctor Sacra said ''If God has loved me enough and cared for me enough to get me through Ebola,i need to give something back to him.The decision to go back was an easy one,i'm less nervous about this trip because i know what i'm getting into little more and also because the thing i was afraid of last time,i've had it.And thank God,i'm through it''.In recent conference,his wife Debbie said ''There was never any doubt her husband would return to Liberia,where they lived for 15years as missionaries with christian aid group,during a brutal civil war and HIV/AIDS epidemic.That's just part of our relationship and our calling from the Lord.We know that there's a need,we know that he has a big contribution to make.We're happy that he's only going for a few weeks''.One more photo below.
