 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. 1 YEAR AFTER THE DEATH OF MANY,THE IMMIGRATION SERVICE IS ABOUT TO RECRUIT MORE PEOPLE AGAIN.

                                               These information got to my desk yesterday,after the Public Relations Officer for the Nigerian Immigration Service Chukwuemeka Obuah,on monday made the information available after they placed an advertorials were placed in major media outlets for the purpose of recruitment.The statement reads ''The Presidential Committee to assist in Immigration Recruitment on monday February 9,2015,placed advertorial in some national national dailies requesting application from suitable Nigerians for enlistment into the Nigerian Immigration service starting from 9 February,2015 to 22 March 2015.Note the application is free and must be done online''.The last recruitment tragedy happened March 15 2014,when 6.5 million people in all 37 states including the FCT,for just 4000 vacant position in the service.More photo below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
