 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion.                                             According to Gabon's President Ali Bongo who attended the one day summot in Cameroon,said on his personal twitter account that ''My counterparts from the CEEAC and I decided to create an emergency fund {$86.72million} to fight Boko Haram''.Other sources said the 10 Presidents from the Economic Community of Central African states {CEEFAC} pledged in an extra-ordinary meeting today monday to create an $87million emergency fund to fight the islamist militant group Boko Haram.
