 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. FOREIGN TRIPS BY CIVIL SERVANTS ON GOVT EXPENSE,BANNED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

                                    According to Mr Danladi Kifasi,who disclosed this information in a circula tiltled ''Restrictions on foreign trainings and international travels by public servants'',was issued to all Ministries,Departments and Agencies,MDA's,said it has become imperative to introduce a number of cost,saving measures following the recent development in the international oil market that has affected the revenue stream of Government.The Head of Service outlined some guidelines in the circular to be applied before any public officer shall travel out of the country on Government expense,explaining that''Proposals for participation or attendence of international conferences,seminars,workshops,study hours,training,presentations of papers,negotiating/signing of Memorandum of Understanding {MOU} abroadat Government expense,shall no longer be allowed except those that are fully funded by sponsoring/invitations organizations''.The circular further warned that no Ministry,Extra ministerial office,Department,Agency or Parastatals shall fund staff outside Nigeria for training at government expense whether or not that Agency draws funds from the Federal Government Budget or meets its financial needs from revenue generated by itself.One more photo below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
