 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. GOVERNOR FASHOLA APPEALS TO HEALTH WORKERS,NOT TO GO ON STRIKE AGAIN.

                             Governor Raji Fashola,made these appeal at Sheraton Hotel Ikeja,Lagos,at the 2015 State Council on Health,that ''I ask this not for myself,i as it for the public that you serve.I have said it repeatedly and i will say it again,you are like God on earth and God does not go on strike.And i believe that when all is said and done,we cannot live a life without government  and differences''.Gover Fashola said that when he was a young Lawyer,he and some of  his colleagues planned to go on strike,late Chief FRA Williams heard about it and summoned us and warned that that he would be the first to petition against them as Lawyers do not  go on strike.''Now i don't know how physicians see themselves,but i know how i see them.When you lie down and you are ill,that is the time the full weight of a physician dawns on you.I told some people the other day that the physicians and the nurses are the only people who can tell you not to go out today and you won't argue.It is an awesome power''.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
