 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways. GOVERNOR FASHOLA APPEALS TO HEALTH WORKERS,NOT TO GO ON STRIKE AGAIN.

                             Governor Raji Fashola,made these appeal at Sheraton Hotel Ikeja,Lagos,at the 2015 State Council on Health,that ''I ask this not for myself,i as it for the public that you serve.I have said it repeatedly and i will say it again,you are like God on earth and God does not go on strike.And i believe that when all is said and done,we cannot live a life without government  and differences''.Gover Fashola said that when he was a young Lawyer,he and some of  his colleagues planned to go on strike,late Chief FRA Williams heard about it and summoned us and warned that that he would be the first to petition against them as Lawyers do not  go on strike.''Now i don't know how physicians see themselves,but i know how i see them.When you lie down and you are ill,that is the time the full weight of a physician dawns on you.I told some people the other day that the physicians and the nurses are the only people who can tell you not to go out today and you won't argue.It is an awesome power''.
