 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings. •Mercy John                                                                According to sources,Mercy John who was an officer attached to Provost Office State Police Command Headquarters,Ikeja Lagos,was accosted by armed robbers at about 6pm,yesterday tuesday,10 February around Egbeda Shasha area of Lagos state and she was ordered to lie down.According to a statement by DSP Ken Nwosu,the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer,said ''Mercy John and one other person were accosted by two armed robbers on motor bike and ordered to lie down.The NCO {Non Commissioned Officer Mercy John}refused to comply and also turned down the order to hand over her handbag.However,her companion out of fear complies.One of the men who accosted them brought out a locally made pistol,then Mercy John immediately on sighting the firearm,smartly and professionally grabbed the neck of the gun wielding hoodlum and hit his head on a nearby wall.The firearm fell down and she immediately grabbed it and the hoodlums sensing imminent danger,fled for their lives.The fleeing robbers are being trailed by the police,the female officer has since been approved for the commendation of the Commissioner of Police,as well as the IGP's commendation.The Commissioner of Police wishes to congratulate the NCO {Mercy John} for this uncommon act of bravery and urges her to keep it up''.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
