 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. PERMANENT VOTERS CARD COLLECTION,EXTENDED TO FEBRUARY 8-INEC.

                 The extension of the collection of the Permanent Voters Card {PVC}to February 8,2015 by the Independent National Electoral Commission,was confirmed yesterday sunday via a statement by Kayode Idowu,the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of INEC,Prof Attahiru Jega.Kayode Idowu said ''The February 8 deadline for the collection of the PVC's supersedes the earlier deadline of January 31,2015,announced by the commission.It is intended to give registered voters yet to collect their PVC,the opportunity to do so in readiness for the February 2015 general elections.INEC hereby calls on duly registered persons not to delay in going to collect their cards before the expiration of the new deadline.The commission reaffirms its determination to make the 2015 elections free,fair,credible and peaceful and urges all stakeholders,including voters,to spare no effort in working forward the same objective''.
