 UK approves sweeping law to ban cigarette sales for future generations  The United Kingdom has taken a major step toward eliminating smoking among future generations after lawmakers approved sweeping legislation that bans the sale of cigarettes and other tobacco products to anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 2009. The measure, one of the most aggressive anti-tobacco efforts globally, ensures that today’s children will never be legally sold cigarettes. It also outlaws the sale and supply of herbal smoking products and cigarette papers to the same age group, while introducing a nationwide ban on snus, an oral tobacco product. The law establishes strict enforcement measures, including fines for retailers who fail to verify ages and harsher penalties for repeat violations, with courts given the authority to suspend businesses from selling tobacco or vaping products for up to a year.                                                         It was fun yesterday sunday 1st of February 2015,as me and every other friends of Barrister Yemisi David,who was my classmate in Lagos state University faculty of Law,threw her a surprise bridal shower.She is one person that plans every other persons surprise bridal shower so instead of us to use a venue,we used her house because if we use another venue,she might suspect that,that day is her bridal shower and the word surprise might not be new to her.Everybody wore pink mask,so when the bride walked into her living room,she was so confused who is behind each mask {French mask Bridal shower}.Yeah you might say it's a Lawyer's dominated party,but some of her childhood friends were invited and we got the numbers from her phone through the help of her fiancee and her younger sister Tayosi..We played alot of games that everyone was calling JAMB questions and gifts were given to the winners.The food entertainment were a combination of what people brought from home,but i must say KUDOS to Nkiru and Nneka,for investing so much time and money in the bridal shower,making sure it was a success.More photos below.
