  Russia, AES to Cooperate on Confederation's Joint Force in Various Aspects, Burkina Faso's FM Says "Naturally, this will involve work on the training aspect—capacity building, exchange of expertise, support—but also on the logistics aspect," Karamoko Jean-Marie Traore, Burkina Faso's top diplomat, told Sputnik Africa. Russia has shown its willingness to support the AES in consolidating its unified force, he added, commenting on Russian FM Lavrov's statements at the meeting with his counterparts from the AES countries. "Russia has always been a leading partner with Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger on a bilateral level," Traore noted, emphasizing a current shift to extend the partnership to the confederation level. THE NIGERIAN CUSTOM PICKUP VAN,KILLED 3 LADIES AND INJURED OTHERS IN AN ACCIDENT ALONG LAGOS-BENIN HIGHWAY.

               According to sources who were at the scene of the crime said three ladies between the ages of 25 and 30 years died yesterday afternoon after the Hummer bus they were travelling in was knocked off the Lagos-Benin high way by an operational vehicle driven by operatives of the Nigerian Customs service.The ladies and the driver of the Hummer bus were carrying second hand clothes also known as okirika,summersaulted during a hot chase by customs officials from the Federal Operations Unit,Zone A,Ikeja from one of their checkpoints in Ijebu Ode.The driver of the bus allegedly refused to stop when flagged down at their checkpoint which resulted in the Hummer summersaulting.The driver of the Hummer bus who lost one of his leg in the accident,said ''When the customs pick-up van could not overtake him,it hit his bus at the rear which caused the vehicle to summersault several times into the bush at a place indigenes called J3.On sensing that the bus had crashed into the bush,the customs officials beat a hasty retreat to avoid being attacked by members of the public that immediately rushed to the scene of the accident.Three women in the bus died on the spot and the other injured victims,were brought out of the bus and were in deep pains''.The pictures of the ladies that died is seen below and above.More photos below.                                  •One of the victims knocked down by customs•Another woman who died in the accident

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
