 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. 2 NIGERIANS,RAHEEM AND SILVESTER+OTHERS,TO FACE FIRING SQUAD TODAY IN INDONESIA OVER DRUG RELATED CHARGES.

                                 According to sources,Nigerians,Raheem Agbaje Salami and Silvester Obikwe,and a Ghanaian,Martin Anderson,are among nine persons to be executed in Indonesia thursday for drug related charges.They were members of an 8.3kg herion.They were convicted of  attempting to smuggle the drugs out of Indonesia  to Australia in 2005.They were sentenced to death in February 2006 and have been living in Kerobokan prison in Bali.The other criminals that are due to face the firing squad are,Filipina Mary Jane Fiesra Veloso,Serge Areski Atlaoui of France,Zainal Abidin from Indonesia,and Rodrigo Gularte,a paranoid Schizophrenic man from Brazil whose family has desperately fought to be transferred to a hospital.The transfer of the Bali nine to Nusakambangan was initially delayed by the logistics of carrying out the execution of nine people at once.
