 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. FILMING OF THE MOVIE ''PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN'' PART 5,STOPPED AFTER JONNY DEPP BROKE HIS HAND.

                  About 400 crew members were told earlier this week,that they will not be needed for at least another two weeks while they wait for actor Jonny Depp to return to return to set in Queensland.Jonny Depp was forced to fly back to the US earlier this month for surgery after injuring his hand.He broke his left wrist while filming the latest part of the movie ''Pirate of the Caribbean'' part 5.He snapped his wrist while skating on a private track at five time Moto Gp world Champion Mick Doonan's luxurious Coomera property on March 10.Queensland police and ambulance services confirmed that they were not called to any incident regarding Mr Depp but didn't rule out a possibility that he attended hospital on his own.One more picture below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
