 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. NO LIFE WAS LOST,AS AIT STUDIO IN ALAGBADO LAGOS,WAS ON FIRE TODAY.

                  According to sources,the fire started around 9:am today monday mornin at the African Independent Television {AIT} studio at Alagbado,when an air condition in the studio was affected by high voltage electricity.The Director of Fire Service,Mr Rasak Fadipe,confirmed the incident when he told the press that ''The fire was caused by high voltage.We arrived at the scene at 9:30am and we spent about 15 minutes for active fire-fighting operations.Only the air conditioner was damaged as we were able to curtail the spread of the fire''.I thank God nobody lost their lives,during the fire outbreak.The Nigerian fire service is really working now,unlike before when they will arrive the scene of the incident,with no water in their tank,and in the process of looking for water,lives and properties will be lost.
