 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion. A survivor of the Kenya university massacre hid in a wardrobe for two days cowering in fear before finally being rescued, as a horrifying picture of a classroom strewn with dead bodies emerged                   In a televised address today saturday in Kenya,their President Uhuru Kenyatta said Alshabaab will not be able to create an islamic caliphate in Kenya.He also declared a three day mourning following the killing of university students at Garisaa University college on thursday.148 people died in the attack,including policemen who were guarding the institution.The Al Shabaab group claimed responsibility for the massacre in which four terrorist were killed.Kenyatta said Kenya would defend her territory and the way of life of her people and urge more help from the country's muslim community in rooting out radical element.''The task of countering terrorism has been made more complex by the fact that the planners and financiers of this brutality are deeply embedded in the communities''.One more photo below.                                                                     Garissa Attack
