“We Don’t Want Violent Politics In Kaduna,” Group Tells Political Parties, Urges Them to Call Supporters To Order The Kaduna Peace Ambassadors Forum has called on political parties in Kaduna State to caution their supporters and prevent further violence following recent clashes involving members of major political parties in the state. The group said Kaduna had enjoyed relative peace for a long period and should not return to an era of violent politics. In a statement, the forum expressed concern that political disagreements and clashes in the past had sometimes escalated into religious conflicts, with consequences for communities across the state. It therefore called on security agencies to take appropriate measures to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the recent clashes, while strengthening preventive measures to avoid a recurrence. According to sources,recently a 14 year old Arshdeep Kaur and her mother Shinder,were traveling fro their home in Punjab,northern India to visit relatives when a group of about half a dozen men began harassing them.The men grabbed the 14 year old and made several attempts to molest her and her mother,but instead of defending them,the bus staff joined in the sexual assault.The incident took place on a near empty bus near Moga,some 50 miles from the Pakistan border,in Punjab province.From the testimony the mother of the 14 year old gave the press in the hospital,she said Shortly after they boarded the bus,a group of men had surrounded them and tried to grab both of them.The mother alerted the conducted about the harassment instead the conductor joined in and started abusing them both.After fighting off her attackers,she ran through the bus to tell the driver to stop the bus,but immediately the driver started driving faster.The assault continued untill the bus slowed down and they were pushed off the bus by the men.Both mother and daughter suffered serious injuries,but the daughter later died in the hospital.The police had launched an investigation to capture the molesters.One more photo below.
