 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. OBANIKORO SUMMONED SOUTH AFRICAN HIGH COMMISSIONER,OVER THE XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS ON NIGERIAN CITIZENS.

               Foreign minister Musiliu Obanikoro summoned South African High Commissioner Lulu Mnguni to register Nigeria's protest over the on going Xenophobic attacks against fellow African's in South Africa.In the meeting,Ambassador Obanikoro condemned the attacks on foreigners in South Africa,expressing concern on the fate of Nigerians and indeed of other nationals who are migrants in the country.Koro said ''South Africa needed to take concrete steps to quell the unrest and bring the culprits involved to book,to act as a deterrent and prevent further violence''.He also called on the South African authorities to compensate the victims of these attacks.Soldiers were deployed over night to tackle gangs hunting down and killing foreigners after at least seven people died in violence in the last few weeks.If you ask me,it is a shameful act that Africans are killing themselves.The South Africans should also realize that their citizens are also dominating other countries like e.g Nigeria.More photos below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
