 Governor Okpebholo Indefinitely Suspends Uwano Kingdom Monarch Over Surge in Kidnappings -April 22, 2025 |  Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has indefinitely suspended Dr. George Oshiapi Egabor, the traditional ruler of Uwano Kingdom in Agenebode (Etsako East LGA), over a series of kidnappings and killings in his domain.  In a statement dated April 21 and issued by his CPS, Fred Itua, the governor also announced the arrest of the monarch’s secretary, Chief Peter Omiogbemhi, following the fatal attack on Palace Chief John Ikhamate. Authorities recall that on March 3, gunmen abducted Catholic priest Philip Ekeli and seminarian Peter Andrew at St. Peter Catholic Church; Ekeli was later released, while Andrew was killed.

Photo Eagleonline                             According to the Oba of the land in Ondo state,High Chief Moses Enimade,the Oyewoga of Odelrele in Ondo state,said some youths entered the shrine in their community and made away with traditional items in a bid to acquire extra ordinary powers and engage in money rituals,since April 15,2015.''They were not qualified to enter the room {shrine}.They had to face death penalty.Even the Kabiesi himself is not permitted to enter the Molokun shrine inner room,except the Chief priest and High Chief Gbogurun.Sacrifice must be performed before they can enter.20 youths have died as a result of their desperate acts.We  have to appease the gods or else many will still die and we have to buy them according to tradition.Their corpses belong to the gods and will be exhumed if buried by their families''.After the robbery,the youths died of severe headache and blindness.One more picture below.                                         Oba Olanrewaju Lebi

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
