  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”.                   According to sources,two staff of the office of the Accountant General of the Federation office,identified as Yahaya Yusuf Ayodeji and Mohammed Dogon Yaro Audu,are implicated in a N1 billion World Bank Government integrated financial management information system,GIFMIS,fraud are to be arraigned before a Federal capital Territory High court,Jabi Abuja,tomorrow tuesday May 26,2015.The EFCC allegedly took advantage of their offices by using the payment platform to award contracts to their companies and those of their cronies.The World Bank GIFMIS projects is warehoused in th OAGF.The companies that were discovered to belong to them and their friends include N&U Resourceful Worldwide Limited,Q-Bridges Worldwide Synergy LimiTED,A&Y Quest Company Limited and Kolapo and sons company Limited.Ayodeji is Head of the World Bank's GIFMIS projects,while Dogo Yaro Audu is project procurement officer.
