 PRESS RELEASE  FG TO PRIORITIZE  RESOURCE ALLOCATION IN THE FACE OF LOW OIL PRICES The Federal Government of Nigeria will pursue diversification of its revenues and adopt greater prudent resource allocation measures to mitigate the impact of low oil prices should it continue, according to Mr. Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy. Speaking at a meeting with investors during the ongoing IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington DC yesterday, Mr Wale Edun emphasized that with the recent reforms embarked upon by the present administration, Nigeria is better positioned to deal with global economic uncertainties. 7 DEAD,27 WOUNDED AS A FEMALE SUICIDE BOMBER,BLEW UP HERSELF IN DAMATURU.

          A young female suicide bomber,suspected to be working for the Islamic group Boko Haram,blew up herself in Damaturu the capital of Yobe state,killing atleast seven people yesterday Saturday.The girl detonated the explosives at a busy market near a bus station.Al least 27 people were wounded,and ambulances continued to bring in the injured.There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast,but all fingers are pointed to the Islamic terrorist group,Boko Haram.I thought by now,all these bombing will stop immediately the elections.May the souls of the 7 dead people,rest in perfect peace Amen.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
