 UK secondary schools will start screening Netflix’s hit show Adolescence as part of a government-sponsored program to teach students about the dangers of misogyny.  The show, praised for its sensitive portrayal of complex issues, will be used in classrooms to spark discussions about harmful online influences. Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who watched the series with his teenage children, said it was a powerful tool to help young people navigate modern challenges. Starmer emphasized the importance of addressing the content young people consume and the conversations they have with their peers. He stated that by listening to young people and charities, society can better understand and tackle the issues raised in the show. A CATHOLIC PRIEST IN ONITSHA OBINNA,WAS SHOT SEVERAL TIMES BY UNKNOWN GUNMEN.

                                                       On tuesday, a Catholic priest in Onitsha area,Anambra state,Rev Fr Obinna Emmanuel,popularly known as Ebube Muonso,escaped assassination attempt this after unidentified gunmen ambushed him in his parish and shot him severally.The priest,who has a catholic healing ministry,was returning to his parish house at St Mary Catholic Church,Umudioka a few kilometers to Onitsha,when a gang stopped him in front of the parish and shot him and his driver several times.The incident that happened on tuesday,happened immediately the priest had finished conducting his weekly prayer at a crusade and was returning to the parish.His car was badly damaged by the bullets.Father Emmanuel confirmed the incident to the Onitsha Relief Market traders,where he went for the crusade.He said after the incident he went to the police and reported and showed them the damaged car,adding that,the police did noting about it.It was not the first time Emmanuel has been attacked in a similar manner by unidentified gunmen.Sometime agao when he was returning to his Uke parish from Onitsha,he was attacked and his car was badly damaged.On that occassion he was also lucky because the bullets that riddled the car did not hit him.Some of his parishioners were shocked and downcast after they heard about the incident.They said it is the battle between light and darkness.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
