 Supreme court ruling path to Labour Party's peace and unity - Otti Abia State Governor Alex Otti has welcomed the Supreme Court's decision to remove Julius Abure as National Chairman of the Labour Party. According to Governor Otti, this ruling will usher in a new era of peace, unity, and order within the party. The Governor believes the Supreme Court's judgment vindicates the party's leadership, particularly since Abure's National Working Committee tenure had long expired. This led to the establishment of a National Caretaker Committee, headed by Esther Nenadi Usman and Darlington Nwokocha, with a vision to foster peace and unity while strengthening the party. ACCOUNTANT GENERAL OF DELTA STATE HAS ABSCONDED TODAY,FOR FEAR OF BEING ARRESTED.

                                                                                         The Accountant General of Delta state Mr Cyril Chuma Agbele,absconded his duty post and fled to an unknown destination.Sources claimed that  he absconded because he was no longer comfortable with the way and manner outgoing Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has been demanding funds from the Accountant General.Some members of Governor Uduaghan's team are accusing the Delta state Governor elect,Ifanyi Okowa,of being behind the disappearance of Mr Agbele,a Director in the Accountant General's office,who requested anonymity,confirmed that the story disclosed that Mr Agbele absconded his position following pressure from Governor Uduaghan to release millions of naira only days before the end of his term.''Mr Agbele decided to disappear from office and public because the governor's pressures on him for demands of funds was becoming too over unbearable.Our boss for fear of being implicated after the governor has left office on friday,he decided to go into hiding.Mr Agbele has taken off and switched off hus mobile line''

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
