 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower.                        Hajia Inna Ciroma,the Director of NIWA,today wednesday tendered her resignation letter,with effect from May 28.This was contained in a statement signed by Mr Tayo Fadile,the authority's General Manager,Corporate Affairs,and made available to newsmen in Lokoja.The statement quoted the information from her letter of resignation addressed to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation {SGF}.It stated that the former minister of Women Affairs,thanked President Goodluck Jonathan,for giving her the opportunity to serve in that capacity.She assumed duty as the Managing Director of NIWA on May 13,2013 following her appointment by the president.Inna Ciroma,who is also a former National Women Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party {PDP},said her decision to resign was honourable and the right thing to do,the statement said.

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
