 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System. MUSICIAN AKON,LAUNCHES SOLAR INSTITUTE IN AFRICA.

                  Today tuesday American/Senegalese musician Akon,declared the launch of a new Solar Academy.The academy according to a statement by the group investing in Solar power for the futire could help to implant a viable platform to power homes that lacked electricity.The institution is scheduled to open this summer in Bamako,Mali's capital.It would try to give African engineers and entrepreneurs the skills needed to develop solar power.European experts will help to supply training equipment and programmes.Akon initiative is aimed at bringing electricity to some 600 million Africans.Akon lighting African spokesperson said ''The academy will aim to teach people how to install and maintain solar powered electricity systems as well as micro grids,which are really taking off in rural Africa''.Akon's Solar energy program is urgently needed in Nigeria.
