 Sophie Kinsella, author of Confessions of a Shopaholic, dies at 55    British author Sophie Kinsella, best known for her bubbly rom-com series “Confessions of a Shopaholic,” has died at the age of 55 after a battle with brain cancer. Her family announced on Kinsella's Instagram account that she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, saying her final days were filled with music, family, warmth, and joy. Kinsella, who also published under her real name, Madeleine Wickham, revealed in April 2024 that she had been diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, more than a year earlier. She had kept the diagnosis private initially to allow her children to process the news in privacy. Kinsella rose to worldwide fame with the “Shopaholic” series, beginning with “The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic” in 2000, which introduced readers to the debt-prone Becky Bloomwood. POLICE UPDATE ON THE RESTAURANT THAT SERVES HUMAN FLESH,IN AWKA ANAMBRA STATE.

         Yeterday sunday,the police command in Anambra state,debunks media report that a certain restaurant in Awka,the state capital has been dishing human flesh to unsuspecting members of the public in its menu,as it was reported by BBC.According to the previous reports by BBC ,who said they discovered a restaurant that dish out human flesh in Anambra state.But in a Telephone interview on sunday,the Police Public Relations Officer  Uche Eze said ''There was nothing like that,i advice you to ignore that report.It's not true and it did not happen.We don't have such record.It's embarrasing'',Mean while the BBC still stood their grounds and maintained the facts that there was such restaurant in Awka that dish out human flesh saying ''Residents told police of rumours that the restaurant was cooking human meat for customers.Police then raided the restaurant,where they discovered fresh human heads that were still bleeding.The blood was in the process of being drained into a plastic''.Some tongues have started wagging that the police is trying to cover up the crime,and the BBC report cannot be false.Well in these life,there is no smoke without fire.
