 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.                      Today sunday Vanguard published a story about one armed robber identified as 42 year old Olumide Asiyanbi.He was arrested in Oyo state by the Police Command when he was at the registry to sign the marriage certificate.The police alleged he was a member of a six man robbery of a six-man robbery gang who had terrorized residents of Challenge area of Ibadan,the state capital.The state Commissioner of Police,Muhammed Katsina,said the suspects included a 62 year old Ghanaian.Asiyanbi confessed that he had been involved in 10 different robbery attacks before he was arrested.He said ''I was arrested on my wedding day.I met the gang leader,James Agba,last year.He told me he knew how we could be getting regular money.He then initiated me into the gang.I have taken part in at least 10 operation since i joined them.We used gun but i don't know where James was buying them.Sulaimon and Alhaji,who are also in the gang,knew how the guns were bought for our operations.I have fired shots at our targets but nobody was killed''.
