 Russia, AES Forge Pragmatic Solidarity-Based Strategic Partnership in Security & Defense Moscow and the AES countries committed to enhancing efforts to combat terrorism and instability in the Sahel, according to a joint communique issued after the Russia-AES foreign ministers' meeting, Sputnik reported. Chinwendu Nkemakolam whose ear was bitten off by her boss              According to sources,one Anambra state born Mrs Mary Joan Adeiekwe was arrested and charged before Magistrate M.B Folami of Ejigbo court for allegedly assaulting her hotel Manager Chinwendu Nkemakolami.The incident happened at the hotel premises located at 38,Olusesi street Ikotun where the victim went to collect her salary as promised by Adeiekwe.The victim who is a graduate of Business Administration from the Lagos state Polytecnic,LASPOTHEC,was employed by Adeiekwe to manage her hotel on N25,000 salary every month.Barely a few months after she took the job May Adeiekwe sacked her without pay but asked her to come for her salary at a specific date.According to the victim when she went to the hotel to collect her money,Adeiekwe got angry,grabbed her ear and bit off part of it.She was bleeding profusely and was taken to Igando General Hospital with the piece of ear that fell off but before they reached the hospital the piece of ear was already dead and doctors said it could not be stitched back.The matter was reported at Ikotun police Division and Adeiekwe was arrested and charged with three count charge of felony,assault and wounding under the Criminal code.She was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety.The matter suffered several adjournments because Adeiekwe refused to show up for trail.When the matter came up again on monday yesterday,Adeiekwe did not show up and her counsel informed the court that they want to settle the matter out of court by paying the victim N25,000 being her salary and medical bills.But the Magistrate insisted that the defendant must appear in court and explain why she won't face trial.The matter was adjourned till 1 June,2015.The victim picture is displayed above and if you look closely,you will see her ear that bit off by her boss.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
