 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. Chinwendu Nkemakolam whose ear was bitten off by her boss              According to sources,one Anambra state born Mrs Mary Joan Adeiekwe was arrested and charged before Magistrate M.B Folami of Ejigbo court for allegedly assaulting her hotel Manager Chinwendu Nkemakolami.The incident happened at the hotel premises located at 38,Olusesi street Ikotun where the victim went to collect her salary as promised by Adeiekwe.The victim who is a graduate of Business Administration from the Lagos state Polytecnic,LASPOTHEC,was employed by Adeiekwe to manage her hotel on N25,000 salary every month.Barely a few months after she took the job May Adeiekwe sacked her without pay but asked her to come for her salary at a specific date.According to the victim when she went to the hotel to collect her money,Adeiekwe got angry,grabbed her ear and bit off part of it.She was bleeding profusely and was taken to Igando General Hospital with the piece of ear that fell off but before they reached the hospital the piece of ear was already dead and doctors said it could not be stitched back.The matter was reported at Ikotun police Division and Adeiekwe was arrested and charged with three count charge of felony,assault and wounding under the Criminal code.She was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety.The matter suffered several adjournments because Adeiekwe refused to show up for trail.When the matter came up again on monday yesterday,Adeiekwe did not show up and her counsel informed the court that they want to settle the matter out of court by paying the victim N25,000 being her salary and medical bills.But the Magistrate insisted that the defendant must appear in court and explain why she won't face trial.The matter was adjourned till 1 June,2015.The victim picture is displayed above and if you look closely,you will see her ear that bit off by her boss.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
