Trump issues pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer after insider trading conviction    President Donald Trump has issued a full pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer, who served nearly two years in prison after being convicted of insider trading tied to post-congressional consulting work. Buyer was sentenced in 2023 to 22 months in prison for illegal stock trades made while working as a consultant and lobbyist. He was ordered to forfeit more than $350,000 in ill-gotten gains and pay a $10,000 fine. He was released from custody in 2025 after his conviction was upheld, with the Supreme Court declining to take up his appeal earlier this year.               5 years after the biggest sporting event in African history,the U.S Government says that former FIFA Vice President Jack Warner of Trinidad solicited $10million in bribe from the South African government to host the 2010 worldcup.Now the South African football Federation has dismissed the FIFA corruption allegations against it officials saying ''We are disappointed at the allegations,they are baseless and untested and we request proof from anyone who has evidence to the contrary to come forward.Our bid campaign was run by among others,Late President Nelson Mandela and former President Thabo Mbeki and several government ministers,who are men of integrity ''.
