 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. THE NIGERIAN MILITARY,IMPOSED A CURFEW AFTER BOKO HARAM ATTACKED MAIDUGURI.

                     Today friday morning,it was reported that the Nigerian military has imposed a curfew on the North eastern city of Maiduguri,following an attack by suspected Boko Haram fighters.The attack took place on wednesday.Heavy shooting and explosions were heard on the out skirst of the city,with many fleeing their homes.Residents said they heard heavy shooting and explosions on the outskirts and began fleeing their homes.Maiduguri has become under Boko Haram attacks on Dozens of occasion.The gruop has been relatively quiet recently with the Nigerian army making gains against it's strong hold,the Sambisa forest.Maiduguri has not been attacked since two major takeover attempts in late January and early Febryary and several bombings in march.Several hundred insurgents carried out the latest attack in Maiduguri.The militants were reportedly trying to kidnap a group of women when security forces responded.
