Yemen fighting pushes nearly 3,000 to Djibouti in less than a week: UN    Nearly 3,000 people have fled Yemen for Djibouti in less than a week as escalating violence drives growing displacement within the country and across its borders, the UN refugee agency said Friday. “Refugees continue to arrive by boat through Obock, Khor Angar, Moulhoule and Godoria after difficult journeys in small vessels,” UNHCR representative in Djibouti Sandrine Desamours told reporters in Geneva, Anadolu Agency reported. More than half of those crossing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are women and children, while some families have been displaced for a second time after previously fleeing Yemen during the 2015 crisis and later returning. UNHCR is preparing for at least 10,000 new arrivals but warned that capacity is rapidly diminishing. 21 KIRIKIRI PRISON INMATES,FREED TODAY BY LAGOS CHIEF JUDGE.

Justice Oluwafumilayo Atilade                                                                   Today wednesday,21 inmates were freed by the Chief Judge of Lagos state Justice Oluwafunmilayo Atilade.The release was in exercise of the powers conferred on her under section 1 {1} of the Criminal Justice Release from Custoday Act Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2007.Most of the inmates released were those who have spent more time than they would have if convicted of the crimes for which they are facing trial.Admonishing the lucky inmates,Justice Atilade urged them to keep away from crime and henceforth be of good behaviour.Justice Atilade said her visit to the prison to release inmates would be a continuous exercise.''Those of you released should henceforth be of good behaviour.The state government is committed to a crime free Lagos and any one found committing crime will be arrested and prosecuted''.The CJ also appealed to non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders working with the prisons authority to ensure that those released are properly re-integrated into the society.
