 EFCC  Moves to  Re-arraign National Assembly Directors for Alleged N337m Fraud   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  on Monday June 8, 2026 sought to re-arraign the trio of Aishatu Bappa El-Nafaty, Mamud Alhaji Abubakar and Igba Ityoakura Joseph before Justice Muhammed Zubairu of the Federal Capital Territory, High Court, Jikwoyi, Abuja for fraud.   The first defendant, El-Nafaty is the Director, Public Affairs Department in the Directorate of Special Duties and Parliamentary Security, National Assembly, Abubakar, the second defendant is a former Permanent Secretary in the Services of the National Assembly, while the third defendant, Joseph is a Deputy Director of Procurement in the National Assembly. 3 CHILDREN OF THE SAME PARENTS,DIED YESTERDAY NIGHT IN A FIRE AT EGBEDA LAGOS.

                    According to sources,three children of the same parents yesterday saturday night died in an inferno that destroyed their three room self contain apartment in Egbeda Akowonjo area of Lagos state.The incident caused by a candle light occurred around 10:pm at No.20 Fakoya street Vulcaniser bus stop Egbeda Akowonjo.The three kids are identified as 9 year old Ifeoma,7 year old Emeka and 3 yearold Ueoma.The Director of the Lagos state fire service,Rasak Fadipe,confirmed this to NAN in Lagos today suday that ''The fire broke after the father of the children had gone to check his wife,the mother of the children,in the hospital,where she had just given birth to their forth child.The fire service was not called to the scene on time,and i advise people to stop the use of candle to light their house.The dead body of the children had been moved to a mortuary by the police from Shasha Division''.
