 EFCC  Moves to  Re-arraign National Assembly Directors for Alleged N337m Fraud   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  on Monday June 8, 2026 sought to re-arraign the trio of Aishatu Bappa El-Nafaty, Mamud Alhaji Abubakar and Igba Ityoakura Joseph before Justice Muhammed Zubairu of the Federal Capital Territory, High Court, Jikwoyi, Abuja for fraud.   The first defendant, El-Nafaty is the Director, Public Affairs Department in the Directorate of Special Duties and Parliamentary Security, National Assembly, Abubakar, the second defendant is a former Permanent Secretary in the Services of the National Assembly, while the third defendant, Joseph is a Deputy Director of Procurement in the National Assembly. A WOMAN BLESSING EZE,WAS ARRESTED YESTERDAY,AFTER GIVING A FALSE TESTIMONY IN CHURCH,IN IJU LAGOS.

The suspect, Blessing Emeka Eze                             25 year old Mrs Blessing Emeka Eze,who has been going from one church to another claiming that her 8 year old daughter was kidnapped and released after 11 days in captivity has been arrested.Blessing Eze,who was born in Owode Ogun stste was caught by members of Four Square Gospel Church,Obawole,Iju station Lagos Nigeria,yesterday sunday the 7th of June 2015 where she had gone to give false testimony that her 8 year daughter who was kidnapped at Ogba area of Lagos state was found at Mile 2 after 11 days.She also told the congregation that her daughter Precious told her that she was fed with raw food and raw meat which made the pastor of the church,Rev A.S Adekunle to order that the girl be taken to a medical centre on Old Akute road for treatment.On getting to the hospital,the 8 year old girl who was wearing pampers was observed by the doctor on duty and the doctor said nothing was wrong with the girl but the mother insisted that something was wrong with her.At this point,the doctor prescribed that she has to be on observation in addition to giving her drip to flush out any disease she might have contracted.Again ,her mother objected and demanded that the girl be given only injection.While the argument was on,two men came in and identified the woman and the same daughter as the person who gave a similar testimony the previous sunday at Christ Apostolic church in the same Obawole and the church donated N5,000 for her to take care of the child.After she was threatened with arrest,she opened up and said the girl was not kidnapped as she alleged adding that she was only using the girl to make ends meet.She was subsequently handed over to the police at Iju police station,Red House,Iju Ishaga Lagos state for further investigation.
