 ASUU–ABSU SUSPENDS THREE-WEEK-OLD INDEFINITE STRIKE The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Abia State University Branch, wishes to inform the University community, all stakeholders and the general public that, following the resolution of Congress held today, Friday, 28th August, 2026, the Branch has suspended its three-week-old comprehensive industrial action with immediate effect. The decision of Congress followed a careful assessment of developments since the commencement of the strike and, particularly, the concrete steps taken towards addressing some of the major issues that necessitated the industrial action. Foremost among these is the full implementation of the 2025 FGN–ASUU salary structure, including the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA), which has now been reflected in the August 2026 salaries of academic staff of Abia State University. BRITAIN'S FATTEST MAN CARL THOMPSON,FOUND DEAD IN HIS APARTMENT.

             According to sources,on sunday 33 years old Carl Thompson Britain's fattest man,who weighed 65 stone was found dead just hours after ordering apple crumble and ice cream from his favourite eatery.Emergency service used several hours to remove Carl Thompson from his home on monday morning,using a small crane to carry his body out via an upstairs balcony and closing the road outside.Carl Thompson who was from Dover,had been housebound for more than a year after doctors warned he needed to lose 70 percent of his body weight to survive.May his soul rest in peace,Amen.More photos below.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
