 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. DANGOTE GROUP TODAY,OPENED A $500 MILLION CEMENT PLANT IN ETHIOPIA.

                         According to sources,Dangote Group today thursday,opened a $500 million cement plant in Ethiopia.The new plant is in the western Ethiopian district of Mugher at a site some 85 kilometres from the capital Adidis Ababa,which is surrounded by green pastures but is quickly becoming one of the country's main industrial hubs.The plant will initially produce 2.5 million tonnes a year in a country whose population of 90 million only consumes around 70 kilogrammes of cement per capital annually and the company said it plans to further expand its out put.Nigeria's annual per capital consumption is 127 kilogrammes.Aliko Dangote said in a speech that ''We are going to double this plant.A reliable power supply was one of the attractions that lured the investments to Ethiopia''.
