 LSPHCB, SCI COLLABORATE TO STRENGTHEN CHILD IMMUNISATION The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (LSPHCB) hosted a high-level delegation from Save the Children International (SCI), led by Country Director, Mr. Duncan Harvey, during an official courtesy visit to the board on Thursday, 17th September 2026. The visit comes as part of Save the Children’s global leadership tour in Nigeria to evaluate the impact of the BOOST Project (Better Opportunities for Optimal Services and Targeted Immunisation for Zero-Dose and Under-Immunised Children) and to align on strategic priorities for child health across the state. MUDASHIRU OBASA,ELECTED TODAY AS LAGOS STATE SPEAKER.

Obasa: Elected as Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly                   Accordig to sources,fourth term member of the Lagos stste House of Assembly and representative of Agege constituency 1,Mudashiru Obas,was today monday elected as the Speaker for the eight session of the state Assembly.His election confirmed an earlier report last week that Obasa had been endorsed for the position at a meeting of the leaders of the All Progressives Congress,APC and members elect of the House.Obasa was proposed as the Speaker by one of his major contenders,Moshood Oshun,representing Lagos Mainland Constituency 2.Moshood Oshun motion was seconded by Sola Giwa,a fresh law maker for the Lagos Island Constituency 2.Obasa accepted the nomination at exactly 11:15am today monday.Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni was nominated and approved for the position of Deputy Speaker of the House by another Lawmaker,Gbolahan Yishawu,representing Et-Osa Constituency 2.Minutes before the election of principal officers,the House was inaugurated by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode,who said he was doing as required of him by the Nigerian constitution.In a short address to inaugurate the House,Ambode congratulated the members on their election and charged them to be good ambassadors of their various constituencies.
