 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. Kidnapped Professor Rosamund Green-Osahagulu                              According to sources,the Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Port Harcourt Professor Rosamund Greed Osahagulu,who was abducted last week thursday by unknown gunmen on her way home in Pot Harcourt after the closure of work has now regained her freedom.The circumstances surrounding her release remains sketchy,but Ahmad Muhammad,the Rivers Command of Pulic Relations Officer confirmed her freedom this morning,stating that she is hale and hearty and united with her family.Professor Rosamund Green Osahagulu was appointed Vice Chancellor by the immediate past administration of former Governor Chibuike Amaechi after upgrading the institution from College of Education to University of Education.I thank God for her.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
