 LASU’s 28th Convocation: 192 Bag First-Class Degrees A total of 192 students will graduate with First-Class honors as Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, holds its 28th convocation ceremony. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello announced this on Thursday during a press briefing at the university’s Senate building. She revealed that out of 8,711 first-degree graduates, 192 earned First-Class, while 3,076 finished with Second-Class Upper Division. Additionally, 4,397 secured Second-Class Lower, 990 earned Third-Class, and 39 graduated with a pass. Olatunji-Bello named Nwosu Isioma Sybil of the Biochemistry Department, with a CGPA of 4.93, as the overall best-graduating student for the 2023/2024 academic session. Among the 2,235 postgraduate students, LASU will award 302 postgraduate diplomas, 1,132 academic master’s degrees, 639 professional master’s degrees, 125 Ph.D.s, and 37 professional doctorates. Kidnapped Professor Rosamund Green-Osahagulu                              According to sources,the Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Port Harcourt Professor Rosamund Greed Osahagulu,who was abducted last week thursday by unknown gunmen on her way home in Pot Harcourt after the closure of work has now regained her freedom.The circumstances surrounding her release remains sketchy,but Ahmad Muhammad,the Rivers Command of Pulic Relations Officer confirmed her freedom this morning,stating that she is hale and hearty and united with her family.Professor Rosamund Green Osahagulu was appointed Vice Chancellor by the immediate past administration of former Governor Chibuike Amaechi after upgrading the institution from College of Education to University of Education.I thank God for her.
