 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. READ HOW 60 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES YESTERDAY IN ONITSHA,AFTER A FUEL TANKER CRASHED INTO A BUILDING.

                          It was a black sunday yesterday for the residents of Onitsha Anambra state,when a fuel tanker rammed into a building and caused an inferno.The incident happened around Upper Iweka Round-about.It was gathered that no fewer than 60 persons,including a pregnant woman and some children,were burnt by the fire,which also consumed about 15 buses.It was learnt that some newspaper free readers at a newsstand were among the victims.One of the eyewitnesses said the driver of the tanker was descending the Upper Iweka Road from the Enugu Nkpor Road when he lost control of the vehicle.''We learnt that the tanker suffered a rake failure and the driver lost control.I think he tried to stop the vehicle with some of the barriers on the road,but unfortunately the tanker rammed into a building and fell.The tanker caught fire 10 minutes after ramming into the building.The tanker was on its way to Asaba in Delta state when the incident happened''.May their soul rest in peace,AMEN.
