Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. There has been crazy post all over the internet on how some white cops forcefully harassed some black youths from a pool party in Texas.The arrest was raising alot of discriminatory articles on the internet,so the Mckinny Police Department said that ''Officers responded to a disturbance call at a community pool involving juveniles who do not live in the area or have permission to be there.The disturbance happened after a racially charged incident involving Black teens,where residents told them to leave the area and go back to section 8 housing''.During the arrest of the Black youths,a 14 year old white teenager was recording it.In the video,Mckinney patrol supervisor CPL Eric Casebolt,a 10 year veteran and a vice president for the FOP lodge,was seen walking up a black teenage girl and allegedly forced her into the ground.He later allegedly pulled a gun on young un-armed male that approached him during the incident and pointed it at a number of people nearby.The video also showed CPL Casebolt placing both of his knees and resting his body weighr onto the young lady's back as she laid face down on the ground.Other footage showed a number of black teens,either placed in handcuffs or being accosted by other officers on the scene.On sunday,Casebolt was placed on administrative suspension while authorities investigate his actions while responding to the disturbance.At this point instances of alleged police brutality against black people,have been established.More photos below.
