 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. SKYE BANK WAS ON FIRE TODAY+CBN EXTENDS BVN REGISTRATION.

              Today i took out my time for my Bank Verification Number,since it was announced that the dead line for the BVN is this wednesday.While waiting for the verification process to start,fire broke out from one of the office in Skye bank Omole phase 2 Ikeja and there was a lot of smoke everywhere.The smoke and the fear of the fire hurting anybody,made the bank security men to open the security doors for all the customers to rush out of the bank immediately.Thank God,nobody was hurt but that made the BVN process very slow as the fire affected their internet,i left my house around 8:am but i left the bank around 5pm today monday.The banks staffs were operating from one point out of the two verification point they have.CBN introduced the exercise in 2014 to enable banks check fraudulent practices by customers.During the verification process,a Skye bank staff announced that CBN has extended the deadline to September not wednesday these week again.More photos below.                                                                                        Godwin Emefiele, CBN Governor

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
