 AU Commission Chairperson Arrives in Bamako to Revive Dialogue With Mali Mahmoud Ali Youssouf arrived for a two-day official visit, according to an AU statement. He was welcomed by Mali’s Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop and is also expected to meet with President Assimi Goïta, it said, Sputnik reported. The visit comes as Mali remains suspended from AU activities since June 2021. The AU has reaffirmed its support for Mali’s sovereignty and territorial integrity while proposing increased assistance to the security sector.

SOUTH AFRICAN ANC SECRETARY GWEDE,SAYS THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT IS A TOOL AGAINST THE WEAK.

                   Today Monday,in a Talk Radio 702,ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe said the International Criminal Court is dangerous and South Africa should withdraw from it,defending the South African government decision not to arrest indicted Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.''If i was in government,i would say give notice,get out of that,it was not what was envisioned.It is a tool in the hands of the powerful to destroy the weak and it is a court that is forcusing on Africa,Eastern Europe and Middle East.Have nothing to do with that,because it is dangerou''.Jacob Zuma,who is due to answer questions on Omal al-Bashir departure in the National Assembly tomorrow tuesday,said it had granted Legal immunity to Bashir,along with all other delegates attending the A.U summit.
