 Meta to end end-to-end encryption for Instagram direct messages Meta is ending end-to-end encryption for Instagram direct messages, a feature the company says will no longer be available after May 8, 2026. Unlike WhatsApp, Instagram never offered encryption to all users or as a default; only select users in certain regions could opt in on a per-chat basis. A Meta spokesperson explained that the decision comes due to low adoption. “Very few people were opting in to end-to-end encrypted messaging in DMs, so we’re removing this option from Instagram in the coming months,” the spokesperson said. “Anyone who wants to keep messaging with end-to-end encryption can easily do that on WhatsApp.” Meta’s messaging strategy has shifted multiple times over the years. WhatsApp chats have been encrypted since 2016, and the company began rolling out default encryption for Messenger in 2023. Dress                      According to sources,St Gemma's Hospice Charity shop in England recently received an anonymous donation.The item is a beautiful ivory lace peplum dress.The shop was accepting vintage clothing donations in order to help raise money for their hospice.The money was for their cancer patients and dress was something that no one expected.The shop suspects that the dress was custom made for the recipient because of the beautiful and intricate details.The note attached to the dress reads ''I WISH THAT ANY LADY WHO TAKES THIS DRESS TO HAVE A LIFE WITH THEIR LOVED ONE,56 YEARS LIKE I DID,HAPPY YEARS.I WAS A LUCKY MAN TO MARRY A LADY LIKE MINE''.The dress was later sold on ebay for 600 pounds thursday night after the note wedding dress went viral.The man that donated the dress was later discovered to be a 85 year old man {name withheld} and the wedding dress belongs to his late wife.More photos below.                                                                                                      Dress 3Dress 2
