  Chelsea confirm talks with Uefa over finances Chelsea have confirmed they are in talks with Uefa over their financial sustainability following a potential breach of the governing body's Financial Fair Play rules. The Blues are in talks with Uefa over a settlement relating to their financial results for the year ending June 2024, where the club posted a pre-tax profit of £128.4m, their first since Todd Boehly's Clearlake Capital consortium took ownership of the club. That figure includes their £200m valuation of their highly successful women's team in a "repositioning" as a separate business from the men's team in a deal with parent company BlueCo at the end of the season. The £200m valuation, which would be a record for a women's team, is yet to be approved by Uefa or the Premier League. THE 3 MEN TREKKING FOR ATIKU,STRANDED IN YOLA.

                       The three men are identified as Salilu Jibrin,Aliyu Adamu and Abubakar Suleiman,spoke to newsmen today saturday in Yola,said that since their arrival they were unable too see their mentor,Atiku.They said all they needed was to see Atiku or his representatives to deliver their messages and go back to their various destinations.They said ''I trekked for 38 days all the way from Lagos to Yola to see Atiku in view of his role over APC victory in the general election but up to now i was unable to see him.I am now stranded with no money to go back,at times i sleep in motorpark or squat with good samaritans {said Jubril}.Adamu,who rode bicycle from Kaduna state to Yola said he spent eight days on the way.''I want to thank the secretay Nigerian Union of Journalists {NUJ},Adamawa council,Mr Baba Zare,who had been assisting me since arrival to cope with the difficult situation i found myself.I want to meet Atiku before finding my way back to Kaduna''.Sulieman who trekked from Shelleng town,Adamawa,to Yola said he had been squatting from one relation to the other while waiting for an opportunity to see Atiku before going back home.Are they sure Atiku is still in Nigeria?,and in the first place,though they trekked for Atiku,but they are more or less becoming a nuisance to Atiku's character.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
