 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker. THE DEATH TOLL FROM YOLA MARKET BOMB-BLAST YESTERDAY,HAS RISEN TO 45.

              The suicide bomber struck at around 1900 GMT yesterday thursday in the Jimeta district of Yola,the capital of Adamawa state.The Islamic group Boko Haram are suspected  to be responsible for the market blast.The death toll from the market blast at the market rose to 45 today friday.Police spokesman Othman Abubaka told pressmen that ''Ten more people died this morning,and around 40 people were wounded''.Adding to the 35 bodies that a senior policeman,who wanted to remain annymous,earlier said he had seen at the bomb blast scene.May their soul rest in peace,Amen.
