NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. It was confirmed today that the oldest woman in the world,died at her Inkaster home on wednesday night.She past away at the age of 116.She turned 116 on May 23 2015 in a grand style.Talley was born in Montrose,Ga,in 1899,and moved to Michigan in 1930s.Her husband of 52 years Alfred Talley,died in 1988 when he was 95 years old.The average life expectancy in the U.S is 78.8 years,according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.A common question she was often asked was,what was her secret to living so long?,and her answer still remains over the years that she would credit the Lord and had said about her age,''There's nothing i can do about it''.May her soul rest in peace,Amen.More photos below.
