 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026. 1 JTF MEMBER DIED,3 INJURED AS A SUICIDE BOMBER DETONATED TODAY,AT A CHECKPOINT IN MAIDUGURI.

                  According to a Military and JTF source,a suicide bomber in a bus killed one member of Nigeria's civilian Joint Task Force {JTF} at the main checkpoint on the outskirts of the northeastern city of Maiduri today monday.A JTF member at the scene said that after passengers had left the bus,the driver drove forward to another inspection point at the Njimtilo checkpoint in the southwest of the city where he detonated the bomb.Three civilians were injured.There was no immediate claim for the attack but all fingers points to the Islamist terrorist group,Boko Haram

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
