 FG Reaffirms Commitment To End Malaria, Strengthens Domestic Health Financing The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, says the Federal Government is determined to eliminate malaria and strengthen domestic financing for healthcare to reduce Nigeria's dependence on external donors.  He stated this while receiving the Board of Trustees of Malaria Consortium on a courtesy visit to the ministry in Abuja.  The delegation visited to congratulate Nigeria on reducing malaria parasite prevalence among children aged six to 59 months from 42 percent in 2010 to 15 percent in 2025, appreciate the government's partnership with Malaria Consortium, and introduce its new board members. 30 BOKO HARAM KILLED BY NIGER ARMY+2 FEMALE SUICIDE BOMBERS,DETONATED TODAY IN DAMATURU.

             According to a military source,Niger's army killed at least 30 suspected Boko Haram fighters as it searched for militants in villages just over the border with Nigeria.The army launched the operation yesterday thursday,a day after gunmen thought to be from Boko Haram crossed over from Nigeria and killed at least a dozen villagers on the Niger side of the border.''Our defense forces who are engaged in the operation inside Nigeria between the towns of Malam Fatori and Damasak,killed the insurgents on thursday''.Today friday,two suicide bombers an elderly woman and a 10 year old girl,killed at least nine people in the northeastern Nigerian city of Damaturu as worshippers gathered to mark the Muslim Eid al-Fitr holiday.
