 CSO/MEDIA REVIEW: HEALTH MINISTER PATE SCORES FG HIGH  ON HEALTH SECTOR REFORMS The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, says civil society organisations play a critical role in strengthening Nigeria’s health system by providing feedback, identifying gaps and helping government translate policies into programmes that improve lives. The CSO/Media-Led Mid-Year Review of Nigeria’s Health Sector Reforms and Policy Dialogue on Monday, Prof. Pate stressed the need for sustained engagement between government, civil society and other stakeholders to achieve better health outcomes. The Minister said the Federal Government, under President Bola Tinubu, recognises that rebuilding the health system after years of underinvestment will take time. 44 PEOPLE CONFIRMED DEAD BY NEMA,IN YESTERDAY TWIN EXPLOSION IN JOS.

              According to Nigeria's National Emergency Management Agency {NEMA} today monday confirmed the death of 44 persons following a twin blast that rocked the central north city of Jos on sunday night.The agency's Zonal Director in charge of Jos,Mohammed Abdulsalam,who disclosed this to reporters in the Plateau state capital,said 48 others were seriously injured,and are hospitalized in various hospitals in Jos.In a statement reaching Xinhua in Lagos state,the government also condemned the twin bomb blast in the city of Jos and described the perpetrators as those who were eager at ensuring that the state did not enjoy any form of peaceful coexistence.The government advised residents of the city to be vigilant,adding that security is everybody's business.One more photo below.
